What Is Kerafactor?
Kerafactor was designed to address thinning hair with a hyper specific selection of 5 bio-identical growth factors accompanied with two skin proteins. It was designed after extensive research into the complexities of hair loss. The treatment can result in scenarios where each growth factor’s concentration is significantly increased and tailored for scalp revitalization for the patient. Procedure Technique
There is no need for a blood draw or any needles used with Keralase™ unlike PRP hair loss treatments. Keralase™ is considered minimally invasive, is performed without any anesthetic, and has no downtime or restrictions following treatment. It is a safe and effective treatment option for both men and women of all skin types.
Prior to treatment, your scalp will be cleansed by one of our techniques to ensure no hair products or buildup impede the process. Protective eyewear is required for both patient and staff safety during treatment.
The treatment begins with the laser portion going over areas of hair loss, hair thinning, or areas where there may not be as much hair to improve the entire scalp’s health.
The lasers create microchannels to assist in scalp penetration. This process takes an average of 10 minutes. During this time patients may feel a little warmth or a slight prickling sensation but should not feel any pain or discomfort.
After completing the laser portion of treatment, our staff will massage the KeraFactor serum into the scalp and request you reset for a few minutes to ensure absorption.
What To Expect
The Keralase™ Treatment won’t take up your entire day. From start to finish the process is less than 30 minutes long. Of course not every patient will experience the same results, but as a general direction, patients can expect to start seeing improvement in scalp health, increase in hair shaft size, and a reduction of the appearance of thin hair by the end of the protocol. There will need to be ongoing upkeep to maintain the improvements. Maintenance is required approximately 2-3 times/year.
